Silver Lining Creation Ry has announced four new names of special correspondents and country correspondents who will be working for Global South Development Magazine. The list includes two special correspondents and two country correspondents from Burundi and Nigeria.
Aliza Amlani, a graduate of London School of Economics, will be working as a special correspondent for global health issues. Ms Amlani, currently based in Bogotá, Colombia, is also working for an NGO in psychosocial rehabilitation of displaced people and ex-child soldiers.

Another special correspondent, Deanna Morris, a member of the Masters in Sustainable International Development program at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management, will be covering issues related to livelihoods and global economic affairs. Ms Morris has international development experience in Central America, Africa and South-East Asia, working in the field of poverty reduction, microfinance, project design and implementation and capacity building.
Samuel Adikpe, who also works as the Registrar of Certified Institute of Development Studies, Nigeria’s pioneer think tank and development studies institute, will be working as Global South Development Magazine’s Country Correspondent for Nigeria. Mr Adikpe holds a Master of Science degree in Mass Communications from the University of Lagos and was the founder of a youth-serving NGO called Youth Vision Plus.
Whereas, James Belgrave, an MA in Development from IDS at Sussex (UK), will be covering developmental issues from Burundi, a landlocked country in East Africa. Mr Belgrave has worked on sustainability and CSR in London in the past. Experienced in disaster risk reduction, climate change and the environment, food security, land and agricultural issues, as well as a variety of conflict and post-conflict humanitarian issues, he also works for the United Nations system in Burundi.
With these appointments, the number of GSDM global editorial team has reached 29. The upcoming issue of GSDM will be published on 1 April 2011 and will focus on farmers’ suicides in India.
