“Shadows of the Street” (2010) is a documentary which presents the story of a 13 year old boy who has been living for four years in the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal. The screening venue concentrates on street children-related social issues. Why do children become street children? How is life in the street? What are the risks and dangers that they face in street? Street children are among the severe examples of children who face social exclusion in society. Not only are they deprived of their basic needs and rights, but they're also vulnerable targets and victims of atrocious acts.

Welcome to Shadows of the Street screening venue to express your solidarity for street children who aspire to see a better day and to live as dignified members of society. The documentary is presented by two non-profit organisations: Silver Lining Creation and Mag Nepal. Unicef-Nepal and CWIN-Nepal have also provided their gracious contribution. The venue includes presenting the documentary, music play, drama, photo exhibition and brief discussion on the subject. Special guests include Ms. Sumnima Tuladhar from CWIN-Nepal and Bhanu Pathak from Unicef Nepal and more.
